Enugu Gaming Commission Presents Cash Prize to Winner of Logo Competition
The Enugu State Gaming and Lotto Commission has presented a crash prize to the winner of the logo design competition, Mr. Kenneth Chibuikem Nwangah.
Chibuikem received a cash prize of N200,000 for the best entry in the competition initiated by the Commission
to have young Nigerians design the agency’s official logo.
Presenting the cheque to the eventual winner at an event which took place at the Commission’s headquarters in Enugu, the agency’s Executive Secretary, Prince Arinze Arum, said that the goals of the Commission in holding the competition were to get a logo that would tell a story which resonates with the its mission to promote fairness, transparency, innovation and responsible gaming and also to provide a platform that would engage the youth and creative minds to showcase their talents, contributing something meaningful that would last for ages.
“Therefore, I am excited to be celebrating the creativity, talents and the ingenuity of the Nigerian youth that embraced this challenge.
“The response to the competition was nothing short of remarkable, as we received over 1,000 entries, each one unique and impressive in its own right.
“So, selecting the the eventual winner was not an easy task for our panel of judges, which includes experts from various fields and staff of the commission. But after a careful consideration, we found a design that stood out. A design that not only captured the essence of the Commission, but also reflected the heritage of Enugu State.
“Today, we award the grand prize of ₦200,000 to Mr. Kenneth Chibuikem Nwangah, that talented individual whose design will become the new face of the Enugu State Gaming and Lotto Commission.
“The logo will be more than just a symbol. It will represent the trust, responsibility, and innovation that guide our work. It will be a beacon of our commitment to promoting a safe and transparent gaming environment that benefits all stakeholders,” Arum said.
The Executive Secretary, equally congratulated all those who participated in the competition, stating that their outstanding efforts and creativity had gone a long way in showing the talents in Enugu State.
In his appreciation message, the winner of the competition, Kenneth Nwangah expressed his happiness for emerging the winner of the grand prize and thanked the Commission and the state government for creating such an avenue for the youth to showcase their talents.
“I got the information from a friend and I decided to give it a try. I put in my best, just like every other participant in the competition. To the glory of God, my hard work and creativity made me emerge the winner. However, all of us are winners in the competition because it made so many us do things we ordinarily wouldn’t have done,” said the winner.
