To promote locally made Nigerian products for export to international markets, leading business consulting and advisory company Top3 Solutions has unveiled a three-day training initiative for Nigerian entrepreneurs on the exportation of locally made products.

This was revealed at a ‘National Business Masterclass (NBM) Media Conference’, recently held by the company, in Lagos with the theme, ‘Positioning Nigerian Businesses for Export and Global Competitiveness’.

Addressing the media, Ambassador Dr Fatoumatta Gaye, CEO of Top3 Solutions, revealed that the initiative, set to launch in February, seeks to empower Nigerian entrepreneurs to tap into global markets, earn foreign currencies, and bolster the country’s economy.

According to her, “We realise that Nigeria is facing a very difficult situation when it comes to the economy, so we need solutions that could help businesses thrive in this kind of situation.

“So, we came up with this project. And we think that Nigeria would be the most suitable place to start it as they’re facing these challenges and also it is a big market whereby we could be able to impact and get the entire Africa to be able to join in and meet us in our space.

“Our focus is on every product and service that meets international standards for exportation. So, we will focus on things like fashion designs, agriculture, renewable energy and any kind of product that needs to be exposed out there, and services as well.”

Dr Gaye cited regulatory compliance, taxes, branding, packaging, and meeting international standards as primary challenges African exporters face in accessing European markets.

“These are the things that we’re bringing to teach people and make Nigerians understand that they have the possibilities to expand and export their products, but they need to follow some procedures.

“Be it branding, be it regulation, be it, you know, health-wise, testing and all of those things. We are bringing these things on board with experts from different parts of the world to make sure that this becomes a success.”

On the cost of training, she said, “We have the early bird ticket, which is open from November 8 to 22, 2024, exactly the first 15 days. That cost N299,000, and it’s for Lagos.

“These tickets can be bought on the website, www.topthreesolutions.com. After those 15 days, we will have the normal tickets at N499,000 Naira, and it will be open for one month. This program is just targeting some 70 entrepreneurs in Lagos. In all of Lagos, only 70 will be able to benefit.

“So, if anybody needs it, they need to come in now. Because we’re trying to limit it so we can have a beneficial impact. We have the clientele that we could introduce to these people, but we first need to get their products ready.

“The training is going to be happening at the Oriental Hotel from February 12 to 14, 2025.”
