The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Sylvester Ezeokenwa, has offered renegade groups in the party conditional pardon, which means they were only welcomed back by re-applying at the ward level.

This move followed the Federal High Court’s nullification of the recognition of Edozie Njoku as the national chairman of the party by the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC).

The Federal High Court in Abuja, presided over by Hon. Justice J.K. Omotosho, had Wednesday delivered a judgment nullifying INEC’s publication dated July 2 that recognised the Njoku-led faction as the authentic National Executive Committee (NEC) of APGA.

Addressing a press conference at the party’s headquarters in Abuja, Ezeokenwa said the court gave INEC an order to immediately expunge Njoku’s name as well as his faction from its records and Website as national officers of APGA.

He expressed joy that matter has finally been laid to rest andthat the truth had been vindicated through the judicial pronouncement.

He said that with the latest pronouncement of the Court, the  confusion over the authentic leadership of APGA has been laid to rest.

Ezeokenwa, however, said the party would be ready to welcome Njoku and his group to join the party if they were willing to present themselves at the ward level for proper documentation and registration.
