Sharafa Congratulates Otunba Yemi Lawal, wife on Egbaland’s Chieftaincy titles

Chief Olanrewaju Sharafa, a UK-based Nigerian Chartered Accountant, Tayese of London, has congratulated his uncle, Otunba Yemi Saheed Lawal, FCA, and his amiable wife, Chief Mrs. Ayotunde Lawal, on their conferment as the Abese and Erelu Abese of Egbaland.

The illustrious honor was conferred on the duo by His Royal Majesty, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, CFR, the paramount ruler of Egbaland.

Sharafa, in a statement, on Monday in Lagos, said their well-deserved titles, steeped in history and significant, was once held by the late Chief Ernest Shonekan, a statesman and former Head of Nigeria’s Interim Government.

He described Otunba Lawal as a shining example of excellence and an unparalleled role model.

“Otunba Yemi Lawal has long been a beacon of professional success and humanitarian service. As a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and a revered leader, his accomplishments resonate beyond borders.
His legacy is one of dedication to his craft and an unwavering commitment to philanthropy, touching countless lives with his generosity and compassion. I am incredibly proud of him and all he represents,” he said.

According to him, the conferment of the title of Abese of Egbaland is a fitting recognition of Otunba’s outstanding contributions to the society and his enduring legacy of selfless service.

The chartered accountant stated that the honor not only celebrates Otunba Yemi’s achievements but also his profound impact on his community and beyond.

Sharafa, who shares a strong familial bond with Otunba Yemi, further praised the couple for their unwavering dedication to the progress of the society and for being exemplary custodians of integrity and goodwill.
