Shafa Energy Announces Entrance into Nigeria’s Oil Lubricants Market

Shafa Energy, one of Nigeria’s foremost downstream oil marketing companies, has announced its entrance into the country’s engine lubricants market with the launch of two new range of products.
Speaking at the launch which took place in Abuja, Executive Chairman of AYM Shafa Holdings, Yakubu Maishanu, described the event as a groundbreaking and defining moment for the company.
According to him, Shafa Doki and Shafa Shanu, the two flagship oil lubricants are not just products, , but innovations that will shape the future of Nigeria’s transportation and industrial sectors.
The launch of the new lubricants, he said, represents yet another stride in the company’s commitment to delivering quality and impactful solutions to its customers and the nation at large.
Maishanu, who was represented by the Managing Director/Chief Operating Officer of the company Ali Abiodun Ibrahim, said the move was to address real challenges facing Nigerians, especially in the critical areas of energy, transportation, and industry.
According to him, the launch was in continuation of the company’s mission of ensuring that Nigerian motorists, businesses, and industries have access to lubricants that are not only reliable and efficient but also affordable.
“The launch of Shafa Doki and Shafa Shanu is not just the result of months of hard work; it is the product of philosophy that has guided Shafa Energy since its inception, a philosophy rooted in innovation, excellence, and a commitment to meeting the needs of our people.
“We recognise that the Nigerian market needed more than just any lubricants. It needed products tailored to our unique environment, products that could withstand the challenges posed by Nigeria’s roads, climate, and industrial demands while remaining cost-effective.
“With this in mind, we embarked on extensive research and development. Our team of experts worked tirelessly to create lubricants that meet international standards,” Maishanu added.
Also speaking, the Executive Director, Commercial, Product Marketing and Sales, Hafsat Ambursa, stated that the company’s workforce was 100 per cent Nigerian, explaining that sustainability and affordability of the products were assured.
With a lean and cost-efficient supply chain, Ambursa stressed that these factors will reduce wastage and focus on ensuring that customers’ needs are met always.
According to the company, accessibility will not also be a challenge since the command has over 150 filling stations nationwide, while there are also plans to bring in other partners as well as distributors.
It urged customers to look out for the Shafa logo on the product for originality, stressing that the company has put enough mechanism in place to ensure that faking does not take place.
“Given even our white products and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), we seek to ensure that we give our customers quality. We will continue to deliver on quality,” Ambursa said.
