NAUS Passes Vote of Confidence in FUOYE Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abayomi Fasina
The National Association of University Students (NAUS) has expressed strong support for the Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Professor Abayomi Sunday Fasina, passing a vote of confidence in his leadership.
In a statement issued by Comrade Ologe John Oluwatobiloba, the National Director of Campus Interventions for NAUS, the association described Professor Fasina as the best Vice-Chancellor in FUOYE’s history. According to the statement, Professor Fasina’s administration has been instrumental in advancing the university to international standards while prioritising the welfare of students and staff.
NAUS also condemned recent allegations against the Vice-Chancellor, branding them as baseless and the work of “enemies of the university” driven by envy of his achievements. The association firmly maintained that the accusations lacked merit and called for unity in supporting Professor Fasina’s developmental initiatives.
“We urge all stakeholders and staff to focus on sustaining the positive strides the Vice-Chancellor has made, rather than giving attention to those spreading unfounded claims,” the statement read.
NAUS highlighted Professor Fasina’s significant contributions to the university’s growth, describing his leadership as pivotal in FUOYE’s transformation. The association pledged continued support for the Vice-Chancellor and urged the university community to remain committed to fostering academic excellence and institutional progress.
With this declaration, NAUS reiterated its commitment to recognising and standing by leaders whose work positively impacts students, staff, and the broader university environment.
