Smartcode Africa Unveils Plans for 2025 African Kids Fashion Week

Smartcode Africa, the renowned organizers of the African Kids Fashion Week (AKFW), has announced exciting plans for the 2025 edition of its highly anticipated event. Scheduled for May 2025, the event will spotlight African creativity, innovation, and cultural heritage through children’s fashion, under the theme “Rooted in Culture, Made for the World.”

According to Mr. Ajibola Akande, Team Lead at Smartcode Africa, AKFW 2025 aims to set a new standard for children’s fashion by celebrating Africa’s rich heritage while creating opportunities for designers, entrepreneurs, and emerging talent.

“The 2025 edition of AKFW will be a milestone event,” Akande stated. “We are dedicated to fostering creativity, building connections, and driving economic impact, all while promoting African-inspired children’s fashion on a global stage.”

The event will feature a dedicated platform for entrepreneurs in children’s fashion, including workshops, panel discussions, and keynote sessions led by industry leaders. The Summit aims to equip participants with insights and tools for sustainable growth.

It will also feature a vibrant marketplace will showcase innovative children’s fashion products, from clothing and footwear to accessories and skincare. It will connect families, buyers, and distributors directly with the brands.

Inclusive is also a two-day live fashion show will spotlight African-inspired children’s designs, featuring collections from top designers and rising stars. The runway will also include dazzling performances and appearances by notable celebrities.

For the first time, AKFW 2025 will adopt a hybrid model, blending in-person activities with live-streamed and digital experiences. This approach ensures global participation, allowing families, designers, and fashion enthusiasts worldwide to engage with the event.
