Ghana Election: Defend Your Votes, Bring Back Mahama for New Nation, TM Kazeem Urges Electorate

As Ghanaians go to the poll today, to elect a new president, the Convener of ‘7th Republic’, a forum of youths advocating better leadership across Africa, Kazeem Tanimu, popularly known as TM Kazeem, has urged electorate, especially its teeming youths , to come out enmasse to cast and defend thier ballots for former President John Dramani Mahama to guarantee ” a new Ghana.”

In a statement posted on his Xpage(formerly Twitter) on Saturday morning, Tanimu, who is also the publicist for late GMD of Access Holdings, Dr. Herbert Wigwe, described Mahama as the only candidate with the experience, antecedents and competence to reposition, unify and make Ghana a progressive nation,and bring it to its glory days.

He therefore urged Ghanaians to shun sentiments and speak with one voice by casting their votes for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate,and shun any form of violence to ensure that the process is peaceful.

He wrote: Only one candidate has consistently stood for the people: John Dramani Mahama. It’s time to restore hope and development to Ghana.Defend your vote and choose progress!

“Ghana deserves a leader who truly cares for the masses. John Dramani Mahama has always prioritized the people. Let’s defend our vote and bring him back for a progressive Ghana!

“A better Ghana is possible, and John Mahama is the leader to make it happen. Stand up, defend your vote, and support the man who stands for us all!
“For true leadership, inclusive growth, and development, Ghana needs John Dramani Mahama. Let’s take a stand for the future we deserve. “

The statement added that ,”Ghana stands at a crossroads, choose a leader with a proven track record of development and compassion. My dearest Ghana brothers/ Sisters choose John Dramani Mahama as the future of Ghana depends on today’s election please stand firm, defend your vote, and bring back John Mahama, the true champion of the people! #ProgressWithMahama.”

The 2024 Ghana general election offers opportunity for electorate to elect a new president and over 270 parliamentary representatives, and present a fresh trajectory for a nation grappling with serious economic challenges.

The presidential race pits Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) against former President John Dramani Mahama of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Mahama, who ruled the country from 2012 to 2016, is hoping to be re-elected into power, while Bawumia is aiming to secure another consecutive term for his party, NPP.

Ahead of the crucial election, many stakeholders across Africa and beyond have continued to call for a peaceful and credible process, with a delegation of the West African Elders Forum(WAEF) observation mission led by former President Goodluck Jonathan, arriving earlier in Accra to ensure all parties embrace a peaceful and transparent polls.
