Compliance Institute Inducts EFCC Chairman, 664 Others

The Compliance Institute of Nigeria (CIN) has bestowed an Honorary Fellowship on the Executive Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Olanipekun Olukoyede and 664 others.
Speaking at the 8th Induction and Investiture ceremony held in Lagos recently, the President of CIN, Pattison Boleigha, noted that the ceremony recognises the achievements of members who completed the Institute’s professional exam.
Congratulating the inductees, he said CIN is group of professionals dedicated to reshaping Nigeria’s corporate compliance landscape.
He said: “The CIN was established to encourage, promote and revive the consciousness for compliance within Nigeria’s financial and non-financial sectors. Our mission is to set and uphold compliance standards that foster processional and regulatory excellence. Our mission is to be a recognised leader in compliance, nationally and globally.
“The induction brings with it the responsibility to uphold the hugest standards of integrity, professionalism and ethical conduct. I urge each inductees to let their dedication and performance in the workplace reflect the values of CIN.”
When asked on the importance of the compliance training by newsmen, Boleigha, said apart from compliance at workplaces, it is also very important to train the youths in compliance to checkmate criminality in the society.
“Globally there have been a lot of issues around criminality, we need compliance officers among the youths who will also take on baton of compliance and checkmate some of the criminal activities in our system today. Nigeria and African can be a better place if we can keep a culture of compliance,” he said.
