Experts to Discuss CNG Vehicles at HAULMACE 2024

he transition to CNG vehicles is not just an economic necessity but also an environmental imperative. With high inflation driving up the cost of transportation, CNG offers a cleaner, more affordable alternative to traditional fuels. As Nigeria transitions toward a greener energy landscape, compressed natural gas (CNG) is emerging as a game-changer. 

However, the journey towards sustainable logistics is fraught with challenges. More than ever before, there is need to explore strategies for adopting CNG technologies to achieve cost reduction, sustainability, and innovation in the haulage and logistics sector. This will be the major focus at the Haulage and Logistics Magazine Annual Conference and Exhibition (HAULMACE 2024) scheduled to hold on December 18, 2024 at The Stable Event Centre, Surulere, Lagos, time is 10 am. The theme of the event is Embracing the Gas Initiative in the Haulage and Logistics Industry: Sustainability and Innovation, this year’s conference promises to be a insightful event aimed at shaping the future of the haulage and logistics sector in Nigeria. 

Haulage and Logistics Magazine Annual Conference and Exhibition (HAULMACE) is the biggest gathering of decision makers in the haulage and logistics industry in Nigeria. HAULMACE is an annual event that started in year 2015.  The event is organized by Haulage and Logistics Magazine. The aim of the annual event is to provide a platform for advocacy and addressing of pressing issues affecting the growth and development of the industry.

The Convener of HAULMACE, Mr. Alfred Okugbeni, explained that the theme of this year’s conference was arrived at after several engagements with major stakeholders in the haulage and logistics industry and the need to discuss the benefits and roadmap of CNG in the haulage and logistics sector.

 The conference aims to bring together top executives of haulage companies, logistics directors, directors of manufacturing companies, supply chain managers and all stakeholders in the dry and wet cargo transportation industry to share insights, and explore sustainable energy solutions. 

The event will delve into the current trends and future prospects of energy use in logistics, showcasing successful case studies and innovative technologies

The Keynote speaker at this year’s conference is Mr Osaze Aghatise, Logistics Director of Lafarge Africa Plc. Special guest speaker at the event is Michael O. Oluwagbemi, Program Director/Chief Executive of the Presidential CNG Initiative. Panelist for the panel discussion include: Engr Abdulmujeeb Masud, General Manager, Logistics and Fleet, Tetracore Energy Group Ltd, Mr Mohammad Dahiru, General Manager, Operations, NNPC Retail Ltd. These industry experts will explore the challenges and opportunities presented by the gas initiative and discuss actionable strategies to drive sustainability and innovation in the sector.
