Oladele Commends Tinubu, Yayi for Massive Rehabilitation of Imeko-Abeokuta Road

A community leader in Imeko, Ogun State and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress ( APC ), Hon. Kayode Oladele has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Aremo of Yewaland, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, Yayi for the massive rehabilitation works currently ongoing on Imeko-Abeokuta Road network as part of the Renewed Hope program of the Federal Government.
The international road linking Nigeria with the Republic of Benin has suffered critical neglect for several years negatively impacting social and economic activities in the axis which is considered one of the food baskets in Ogun State.
In a statement, Oladele noted that; “recently at a stakeholders meeting in Ilaro, the distinguished Senator Representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Aremo Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) announced to the meeting that the rehabilitation of Abeokuta-Imeko road would soon commence. When he said so, nobody at the meeting expressed any doubts because of his track record of fulfilling promises and sterling performance.
“The rehabilitation of the road will provide succor to commuters and motorists, enhance movement of goods and services particularly at this auspicious time of the year when millions of members of Celestial Church of Christ worldwide will be converging at the International Headquarters of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) at the Celestial City, Imeko for their annual Convocation Activities. Imeko is a tourist town and a place of annual pilgrimage particularly at Christmas for millions of Celestial Church members from many parts of Africa, Europe, Asia and North America.
Honorable Kayode Oladele further stated that “It is heartwarming that the Federal Government, through the facilitation of our Distinguished Senator Olamilekan Adeola Yayi has graciously responded to our calls for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the road.
“It will be recalled that in one of my previous press statements, I particularly appealed to the Federal Government to give priority attention to the road, being an international route between Nigeria and the Republic of Benin and urged the federal government to link it up with the already awarded Badagry-Sokoto Expressway at Rounder in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State. I also emphasized the importance of the rehabilitation of the road to improved commercial activities around the corridor and enhancing socio-economic well being of our people in Yewa North and Imeko-Afon Local government areas.
Oladele applauds Senator Adeola for his massive and unprecedented social intervention projects across Ogun West Senatorial District, saying, “What our illustrious Senator Adeola is doing is in continuation of his agenda to improve and enhance the well being of our people as is evident across Ogun West. The people of Ogun West have never had it so good or witnessed the type of quality representation and pragmatic leadership exhibited by the Distinguished Senator since assumption of office. The preponderance of social, economic and educational infrastructure facilitated and executed by the Aremo of Yewaland are quite dignifying and unprecedented in our political evolution. His untiring efforts and commitment to impacting positively in the lives and livelihoods of our people are worthy of appreciation. We can only pray to God Almighty to empower him the more to fulfill his lofty dreams of transforming our communities in line with the Renewed Hope Program of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he concluded.
