Women in Energy Congratulates Idiovwa on His US Honorary Doctorate Award

The International Forum of Women in Energy Oil and Gas (FOWEG) Delta State Chapter has extended congratulations to Dr. Morrison Idiovwa, Chairman of Bicens Resources Ltd, following his attainment of an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Engineering Management and Sustainable Development Award from Highstone Global University USA.

Ambassador Dr. Mrs. Ogochuku Okekpolo, Pioneer Director – International Forum for Women in Energy Oil and Gas Delta State Chapter, confirmed this in a statement made available to the media on Saturday, 14 December 2024, in Abuja.

She said the induction took place during the 2024 International Conference, Special Convocation, Awards Ceremony, and Conferment of Honorary Doctorate Degree organized by the Institution in Asaba, Delta State.

She stated that Dr. Morris Idiovwa is a distinguished COREN-registered engineering professional, having over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a remarkable career spanning various roles, including Inaugural Director-General of the Delta State Local Content Development Board and Chairperson of the OML 30 Communities Development Board, where he represented over 111 oil-producing and pipeline communities for five years.

In her congratulatory statement, she said “I am thrilled to celebrate your well-deserved Honorary Doctorate Degree in Engineering Management from Highstone Global University USA! I observed your steadfast commitment to facilitating Bicen’s mission through efficient operations, while your administrative acumen significantly advanced its initiatives”.

Recall that Dr. Morrison Idiovwa alongside Lon Wesley Mahan, Director Operations Heritage Energy, Engr. Michael Okaekwu, Manager Supply Chain First Hydrocarbon Nig. Ltd, amongst others, was conferred with the Honorary Doctorate Degree in Oil and Gas Management and Engineering Management, respectively.
