PalmPay, one of the leading Fintech companies in Nigeria has partnered Jumia, an e-Commerce company to enhance customers’ payment transaction experience, when paying with PalmPay wallet, while shopping on Jumia.
The partnership is coming after Jumia’s successful Black Friday shopping that attracted a high volume of payment transactions during the one month period that the Jumia Black Friday lasted.
Speaking recently during a media parley in Lagos to announce the partnership, Managing Director of PalmPay, Mr. Chika Nwosu, said the partnership underscored the importance of the two industry leaders coming together to redefine the online shopping experience for millions of people.
“Today, we are launching our collaboration on payment with PalmPay wallet, which is a direct integration that allows PalmPay users to pay directly from their wallets, ensuring a seamless experience for shoppers across the country. As we roll out this partnership initiative, we will also be launching a Christmas campaign from December 11, where customers who shop on Jumia, using PalmPay as their payment channel, will have the chance to win some great cash reward. It is our way of adding a little extra joy the festive season,” Nwosu said.
Responding, the CEO of Jumia Nigeria, Mr. Sunil Natraj, said the partnership would bring convenience and comfort for all who use the PalmPay wallet to make payment after shopping on Jumia.
“This relationship that we are building is so important. It will bring about convenience, comfort and trust. Through this integration, we truly believe that we can enable a shopping experience for consumers much better in the future. This is a marriage of interests, this is a marriage of values, and this is a marriage of bringing convenience to consumers,” Natraj said.
