The Allen Foundation Launches The Allen Academy with Successful First Bootcamp

After seven years of empowering young adults through free education, The Allen Foundation has taken a bold step forward with the launch of The Allen Academy. This new initiative is dedicated to equipping young leaders with technical and vocational skills to thrive locally and globally.

The maiden event, Allen Academy Bootcamp 1.0, held on November 29–30, 2024, in Ibadan, Oyo State, was a success. Thirty-three young adults participated in an intensive Data Analytics Cohort, gaining essential skills to position themselves in the digital economy. This milestone aligns with The Allen Foundation’s Vision 2035 to empower 10,000 young adults globally over the next decade.

Speaking virtually, the foundation’s founder, Olalekan Oluwayomi, congratulated the participants and inspired them to seize this opportunity.

“This isn’t just a training session—it’s the beginning of a journey that could reshape your future. Dream big, work hard, and keep pushing forward,” he said.

Akinade Qudus, a participant, expressed gratitude for the life-changing opportunity, saying, “The training has sparked my passion for data analysis and inspired me to pursue advanced education in public policy.”

Another attendee, Oluwaseun, praised the facilitators for their exceptional delivery, stating.

“The facilitators were phenomenal, and the warm reception made a lasting impression. This is truly a noble cause,” he said.

The boot camp was delivered in collaboration with Cirvee Academy, with facilitators like Michael and Grace receiving high commendations for their expertise and engaging approach.

The Allen Academy is just getting started. Through bootcamps, seminars, mentorship programs, and scholarships, it will continue to unlock hidden potential and transform lives.
