The Class of 1997 set of the Wukari, Taraba State, has donated desks and white boards to the school as part of efforts to give back to the institution.

Presenting the items to the principal of the school, the President of the 1997 set, Alexander Oduh, stated that they were inspired to give back to the school due to the solid foundation the institution gave them, which has propelled them to excel in their various fields of endeavour.

He stressed that the old students are making positive impact within and outside the country due to the discipline inculcated in them by the school as exemplified by the school’s slogan: ‘Only The Best is Good Enough’.

Oduh reiterated that the choice of the donation was based on a need assessment conducted by the 1997 set, stressing that more impactful interventions will be made in subsequent years.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the school, the Principal, Mr. Koli Salihu Mongodiba, appreciated the former students for giving back to the school just as he called for more supports from the government and spirited individuals to enable the institution serve the public better.

Other members of the Class of 1997 separately encouraged the younger generation to face their studies seriously and avoid behaviour that could truncate their future.

The old students were later led by the principal to pay homage to the paramount ruler of the town and Chairman, Taraba State Traditional Council, Aku-Uka, Manu Ali, Matakitswen I, to intimate him on their mission.
