Christmas: Okpurughre Doles out bags of Rice, Cash to Widows, Aged, Others
Philanthropist and business mogul, Paul Okpurughre, as part of his yearly tradition today doled out bags of high quality rice and cash gift to widows, aged and others across Delta state.
Addressing the beneficiaries of the largesse during the event which took place earlier today in Oghareki, Okpurughre who was ably represented by Ogheneovo Okpurughre, said Christmas is not just a time to merry but a season to show love.
According to him, reaching out to his people at a time like this when things are quite tough, is his own way of identifying with and letting them know, they’re not alone.
He pledged to continue the gesture not just during Christmas but at every time the opportunity presents itself.
The elated beneficiaries especially the aged women couldn’t contain their joy as they sang songs of appreciation, praying also for more of God’s blessings on Paul Okpurughre.
Items distributed includes rice, salt, tin tomatoes, groundnut oil and other essential commodities, with everyone going home also with cash alongside the other items.
