Tinubu, Ministers, Others Present as Kamorudeen Yusuf Empowers Youth With Over N60 Million
The founder and Grand Patron of the City Boy Movement, Mr. Seyi Tinubu, was joined by Minister for Communication and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, and Minister for Youth Development, Ayodele Wisdom, at the maiden edition of annual inaugural youth summit organized by the Ogun State City Boy Movement.
At the event, Mr. Kamorudeen Yusuf, an aide to President Tinubu, who was the convener of the program empowered Ogun youths with over 60 million naira. Two individuals received 2 million naira cheques each for tech development while Seyi Tinubu also empowered additional two more tech entrepreneurs.
Dr. Bosun Tijani, in his speech appreciated the opportunity to serve in government. “It’s a tough challenge, and you need all the support you can get. I’m grateful for a principal like His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR (The City Boy), not just for the opportunity to serve but for his constant support.”
Dr. Tijani extended his greetings to the entire First Family and expressed gratitude to Seyi Tinubu for his support, kindness, and generosity. “It’s great to be in Abeokuta. I’m from Itoko, although I was born and raised in Agege. My father was an entrepreneur who started the famous Agege bread.”
Dr. Tijani reminisced about his time in Abeokuta, where he attended secondary school. “I walked the same streets many of you have walked and have fond memories of Abeokuta.”
Minister for Youth Development, Ayodele Wisdom, stated that the Youth Summit and Empowerment Programme organized by the Ogun State Chapter of the City Boy Movement was a pride for him. “The theme of this event is crucial. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is laying a strong foundation for our country’s future. During this period, things may be hard, but it’s essential we support one another as we await the prosperity that President Tinubu’s reforms will bring.”
Wisdom emphasized the importance of supporting the City Boy Movement’s initiatives. “Today, we celebrate the impact of the City Boy Movement in our communities, especially in the lives of our youth. The beneficiaries of today’s empowerment have the ability and talent; they only need the right support.”
Wisdom encouraged individuals and groups to support the youth. “We should not leave all responsibilities to the government. We must support the energy and passion of our youth to create opportunities that empower”.
Other dignitaries present are; Chief Saheed Suberu, Chief Sunday Dare, O’tega Ogra, SSA to the President on Digital Communication and New Media, Mr Charles Odi, Director General SMEDAN.
