New Strategy to Fight Insurgency Will Soon Be Unfolded, Niger Senator, Musa, Discloses

Following the bomb blast that claimed the lives of some youths and injured several others in Bassa community of Shiroro Local Government, last week, the Senator representing Niger East Senatorial District, Mohammed Sani Musa, has revealed that a new strategy to combat insurgency in the country would soon come into place.

Musa made the disclosure when he commiserated with those injured during the bomb blast at the IBB Specialist hospital in Minna on Sunday.

He though did not give details of the strategy to be unveiled, he however assured the people that it would bring peace to bandit infested areas of the country.

“A proactive security  architecture will soon be unfolded, to arrest the incessant loss of lives in Niger state and the country,” he declared.

The Senator who is also the Senate committee Chairman on Finance, urged all the security agencies in the country to brace up for the new challenge, adding that the country and her people depended on them.

He described as “unfortunate” the bomb blast in the area that killed some people, promising to assist those injured before commiserating with their families.

“With the spate of attacks, innocent lives, livelihood, dreams have been needlessly waisted” insisting that the trend must be stopped.
