Ayo Charity Foundation Hosts Thrilling End-Of-Year U-18 Basketball Tournament

The Ayo Charity Foundation wrapped up 2024 in style with its highly anticipated End-of-Year Male and Female Basketball Tournament, held from December 27th to 31st, 2024. The five-day tournament culminated in an exciting finale at the University of Lagos Sports Center, showcasing the talents of Nigeria’s future basketball stars.

The event brought together promising young athletes from various teams, including Hope 4 Girls, Amazons, McSpencer, and War Queens in the female category, and Heat Kings, Rookies Academy, Del Basketball, and Estate Kings in the male category. This diversity reflects the Foundation’s commitment to promoting youth empowerment and inclusivity through sports.

Throughout the tournament, the teams displayed exceptional skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship, making it a thrilling experience for spectators and participants alike. The tournament’s format allowed for a round-robin stage, followed by knockout matches, ensuring that every team had a chance to compete and showcase their abilities.

Estate Kings emerged victorious in the male category, with Muiz Salami named Most Valuable Player (MVP). The Amazons took top honors in the female category, with Ezinne Imo earning MVP recognition. The winning teams were awarded trophies and medals, while the MVPs received special prizes.
