Reb360 Ventures into Agriculture to Boost Food Security in Nigeria
Reb360 LTD, a prominent real estate company in Lagos, is expanding its operations into agriculture with the launch of Reb360 Farms. Known for providing profitable real estate investment opportunities for Nigerians at home and in the diaspora, the company is now focused on addressing food scarcity by cultivating crops on its properties.
The agricultural venture, which began with yam farming, has recently expanded to include sweet corn and sweet potatoes. This strategic move reflects the company’s commitment to utilizing Nigeria’s vast arable lands to contribute to food sustainability.
Last weekend, the team at Reb360 Farms celebrated a successful harvest at one of their estates, Kefi Court, reaping an impressive yield of fresh sweet corn, sweet potatoes, and yams.
Speaking about the initiative, the company’s CEO, Mrs. Tope Mark-Odigie, emphasized the importance of addressing Nigeria’s food challenges through innovative solutions. According to her, many arable lands across the country remain underutilized, and Reb360 is determined to change that narrative.
“At Reb360, we recognize the shortage of farm produce in Nigeria and the significance of food sustainability for individuals, communities, and the nation at large. By cultivating crops on our estates, we aim to inspire other real estate companies to maximize the potential of their lands through agricultural projects,” she said.
Mark-Odigie noted that the agricultural expansion has already made a positive impact, providing affordable farm produce to hundreds of people.
“Our foray into agriculture is a deliberate effort to contribute to Nigeria’s food security. We’ve made fresh, healthy crops accessible to those who might have struggled to afford them. By selling our produce at incredibly low prices, we are helping families gain access to essential food items,” she explained.
Beyond food production, the project reflects Reb360’s corporate social responsibility and long-term commitment to Nigeria’s development.
“Our goal is not only to offer the safest and most profitable land investments to Nigerians but also to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s food sustainability. We believe that this initiative will have a lasting impact on individuals, communities, and the country as a whole,” Mrs. Mark-Odigie added.
Reb360’s innovative approach to blending real estate with agriculture sets an example for other companies, encouraging them to explore ways to address social challenges while maximizing business opportunities.
