Following the Super Eagles’ impressive 2-0 victory over Rwanda in Kigali on Friday, Carloha Nigeria, the exclusive authorised dealer of Chery vehicles in Nigeria, has announced the presentation of the Chery Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award at the Super Eagles’ upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe. The match is scheduled for March 25, 2025, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.

The Chery MVP Award will recognise the best-performing Super Eagles player during the match and will be presented immediately after the game by senior representatives from Carloha and Chery International, as part of their broader commitment to supporting Nigerian football. The Chery MVP will be selected by a panel of sports journalists present at the stadium.

The initiative is part of Carloha’s efforts to promote excellence, reward sportsmanship, and deepen its connection with the Nigerian football community.

Reflecting on the recent victory while announcing the award, Mr. Sola Adigun, Managing Director of Carloha Nigeria, remarked:

“We congratulate the Super Eagles on their remarkable 2-0 win against Rwanda. This triumph is a testament to the hard work, discipline, and persistence that define our national team—qualities that resonate deeply with the Chery brand. Football is more than just a sport; it is a unifying force that brings Nigerians together, and Chery is honoured to be part of this journey.”

“As a brand, we are committed to strengthening our presence in Nigeria by offering world-class automobiles that cater to the needs of our consumers. With the Super Eagles partnership, we are not only supporting football but also reinforcing our vision of mobility, performance, and progress in Nigeria”

Carloha ’s involvement in the upcoming match underscores its position as a proud partner of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and a leading advocate for national pride, talent, and performance. The company continues to champion initiatives that go beyond sponsorship, using its platform to support the Super Eagles and celebrate the spirit of the game.

“As a brand that identifies deeply with excellence, passion, and performance, we see the Chery MVP Award as more than recognition—it’s a celebration of everything the Super Eagles represent,” Mr. Adigun added.

The Chery MVP Award is one of several activations planned by Carloha for the March 25 qualifier. With top officials from Chery International also attending, the event reinforces the brand’s long-term commitment to Nigerian football and its unwavering support for the Super Eagles on the road to victory.
