Mary Remmy Njoku Celebrates 40th Birthday

Nollywood stars, top executives, and entertainment industry insiders gathered to celebrate Mary Remmy Njoku’s 40th birthday. Njoku is the visionary founder of ROKTV Channels and CEO of ROK TV Studios. 

The surprise party, planned by close associates in the film industry, was an evening filled with laughter and celebration. 

Among the notable guests were Stan Nze, Desmond Elliot, Blessing Jessica Obasi,Teco Benson, Simon Peacemaker, Susan Jimah, and Sam Olatunji, all present to honour Mary Remmy Njoku’s remarkable contributions to the film and television industry. 

Held in Lagos, the event was a night of glowing tributes. Blessing Jessica Obasi described her as “a goal-getter, a true ambassador for women’s empowerment, and a beacon of hope for women in Nollywood.” Stan Nze led a heartfelt prayer, wishing her continued success. 

Honourable Desmond Elliot praised Njoku’s dedication to Nollywood’s growth in his speech, calling her “a trailblazer whose work has empowered filmmakers across Africa.” He highlighted her selflessness in spotlighting others and creating opportunities for them to thrive based on their talent and commitment. He further described ROK as the rock that has shown others what’s possible, with Mary as a silent achiever whose work speaks volumes.

The night was filled with games, music, and lively entertainment, with guests enjoying a carefully curated selection of fine dining. The atmosphere was joyful, with camaraderie and admiration for Njoku’s contributions.

One of the standout moments was the presentation of a glamorous artwork, a heartfelt gift symbolising her achievements and lasting impact on Nollywood. Her husband,Jason Njoku, stood proudly by her side, sharing in the joy of the moment as friends and colleagues celebrated her milestone age and her inspiring journey in Nollywood.
