Debo Adesina Loses Mother, Deaconess Esther, at Age 90

Mother of Ambassador Debo Adesina, the immediate past Ambassador of Nigeria to the Republic of Togo and formerly Editor-in-Chief/Chief Operating Officer of The Guardian Newspapers, Deaconess Esther Taiwo Adesina, has passed away at the age of 90 on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

According to a statement from the family, Deaconess Adesina was a woman of exceptional character, known for her unwavering faith, compassion, and selflessness.

As a long-time deaconess of the Baptist Church, she embodied the values of righteousness and hard work, leaving an indelible mark on her family and community.
