The family of HRH King Dr. Appolus Chu has announced the one-year memorial anniversary of their beloved wife, mother, and sister, HRH Queen Njideka Appolus Chu.
With a deep sense of loss but gratitude to God, HRH King Dr. Appolus Chu and his family invite the public to join them in honoring her life and cherished memories.
According to the king, the passing of his wife has left an immeasurable void, and each day reminds him that she is no longer here. However, he finds solace in knowing that those they love never truly leave them—they live on in their hearts. “You will forever remain in mine,” he said.
The memorial anniversary will feature several events, including the unveiling of a book written in her honour by her loving husband, the king, as well as her posthumous birthday cake.
Additionally, a statue made in her honour will be unveiled at her graveside as a lasting tribute to her legacy.
The event will take place on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 10 AM at The Palace of HRH King Dr. Appolus Chu, Ogale, Eleme, Rivers State. Attendees are requested to wear white.
In his statement, HRH King Dr. Appolus Chu expressed his love for his late wife, saying, “We love you, and though we are apart for now, we hold onto the hope that we will meet again. Rest on, beloved Njideka.” The king signed off as Egbere Emere Okori, Oneh Eh Nchia X, Ogale, Eleme.
