‘South East Educators’ Conference to Ignite a New Era in Education Reform’

The South East Educators Conference (SEEC) 2025 is set to hold from May 2 to 3 at the Nike Lake Resort, Enugu.
With the theme, ‘Advancing Education: Innovation, Leadership and Transformation’, the conference promises to bring together some of the most influential voices in education, leadership, and innovation across Africa.
Convener of SEEC, Doris Chinedu-Okoro, described this year’s edition as the most impactful yet, with an impressive lineup of keynote speakers, masterclasses, exhibitions, and networking opportunities designed to spark bold conversations and inspire lasting change in the educational landscape.
Among the notable keynote speakers is Senator Liyel Imoke, former Governor of Cross River State and founder of The Bridge Leadership Foundation. Known for his passion for youth empowerment and sustainable leadership, Imoke will address pressing challenges in education and governance.
Mr. Paul Onwuanibe, CEO of Landmark Group, who works at the intersection of innovation and infrastructure, is expected to challenge educators to “think big and build boldly.”
The event will also feature a diverse panel of experts and thought leaders, including Rotimi Eyitayo, CEO of Teammasters and Education Business School; Chinonso Ogbogu, co-founder, Sabi Writers; Rhoda Odigboh, Regional Director, Kizazi; Dr. Joy Isa, President, Isa School of Education, Fisayo Oludipe, Education Consultant and Leadership Coach, Yinka Ogunde, CEO, Edumark Consult, among others.
The convener described SEEC 2025 as more than just a conference but a vibrant movement.
“The agenda includes a gala night to celebrate excellence, a movie night for storytelling and connection, and the prestigious educator awards to honour trailblazers in the field,” said Chinedu-Okoro. “Attendees will also benefit from hands-on breakout sessions, masterclasses, and edtech showcases highlighting the latest tools and innovations in education.”
She added, “This is a call to action. “SEEC 2025 is about mobilising educators, school leaders, policymakers, parents, and youth advocates to reimagine education across Africa. We believe education is the engine of national development, and SEEC will equip every stakeholder not just to adapt to change, but to drive it.”
