PELE FOOTBALL ACADEMY MAKES MEDAL-WINNING DEBUT AT CITY SPORT AFRICA EASTER CUP
In a stunning debut at the prestigious City Sport Africa Easter Cup, Pele Football Academy has announced itself on the youth football scene with an impressive double podium finish—just weeks after launching operations.
Competing for the first time, the Academy’s Under-12 team clinched third place, while the Under-15 team went a step further to secure second place in their respective categories, earning both teams well-deserved medals and admiration from spectators and officials alike.
As a bonus highlight, Pele Football Academy was also awarded the prize for “Most Colorful Jersey”, showcasing the team’s unique identity and vibrant presence both on and off the pitch.
With the Academy being less than three months old, the achievement is not just a testament to the raw talent of the players, but also to the vision, structure, and technical guidance provided by the coaching staff and management.
“This is just the beginning,” said the Academy’s MD. “To compete at this level and return with two medals in our first tournament is a massive statement of intent. The future is bright.”
The teams were proudly photographed with their medals, capturing a historic moment that marks the birth of a rising force in Nigerian grassroots football.
Pele Football Academy is committed to developing young talents with a blend of discipline, skill, and passion—and this early success sets the tone for an exciting journey ahead.
