The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), yesterday, described the recent comments by the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, on Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, as signs ofpains of defeat and electoral losses during the 2023 elections.
The Kano State Chapter of the NNPP, Hashimu Dungurawa, in a formal reaction to Ganduje’s recent media attack, said the party was not surprised as it alleged that, “such kind of payback are known attributes of Dr. Ganduje.”
Dungurawa explained that the pain inflicted by Kwankwaso on his political godson at Ganduje ward was a clear sign of pain of election heartbreak.
“The attack was a wrong message in Nigeria’s political space against the backdrop that available records indicated that Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is what he is today due largely to Kwankwaso’s large heart and political magnanimity.
“If Ganduje has forgotten, he is talking to his political master whom you served as Deputy Governor for 8 years and the same Kwankwaso that made him representative at Lake Chad Commission, Personal Secretary, when he was Minister of Defence.
“The same Kwankwaso after ensuring that he kept Ganduje close, and against all odds installed him as successor in 2015 after serving out as governor for a second term.
“Ganduje has not won elections on his own from 1999 to date, and the last general election, where he lost home and away reinforces this position.
“Ganduje’s political machine crumbled to Kwankwaso’s superior war chest, when confronted with a brand new political party during the 2023 general election, where the ambition of his biological son was terminated by the NNPP,” Dungurawa stated.
