Jericho Brown, Bassey Ikpi to Speak at LIPFest 2023

Renowned American writer and Pulitzer prize-winning poet Jericho Brown has been confirmed as one of the headliners of the Lagos International Poetry Festival (LIPFest). He will be joined by Bassey Ikpi, alongside poets, writers, and artists from across Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Gambia, Germany, the UK, and Slovenia.

For its ninth edition, LIPFest is inviting poets and literary enthusiasts into the ‘Sanctuary,’ its theme for the year.

With a four-day series of events designed to hold space for stillness and renewal, the organisers say it has lined up an array of thought-provoking sessions, including poetry readings, panel discussions, workshops, and lots more.

The event will kick off on Thursday, October 26 and culminate on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Alliance Française | Mike Adenuga Center, Ikoyi, Lagos.
