President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has rejoiced with President of the 10th Nigerian Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, as he marks his 61st birthday today.

Celebrating the political leader whose antecedents and achievements continue to attract recognition at home and abroad, the President, according to a statement yesterday, by his Media Adviser, Ajuri Ngelale, affirmed the outstanding leadership qualities of the former Governor of Akwa Ibom State and ex-Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, who became a Governor at 45, after serving as a Commissioner in three different ministries.

Tinubu appreciated the loyalty, dedication, and commitment the Senate President has demonstrated over time, with measurable and lasting legacies to show for his time in various offices, most significantly exemplified by the uncommon transformation of Akwa Ibom into one of the most vibrant and frontline states in the country.

The President wished the Chairman of the National Assembly many happy returns and prayed that God Almighty would continue to bless Akpabio and his family.

In a related development, the Senior Legislative Aide to the Senate President, Mr. Ikenna Nicholas Ukwa, also congratulated the Senate President.

Ukwa, in a note made available to THISDAY yesterday, wrote: “Your remarkable expertise is truly commendable. I also appreciate your unwavering support and dedication always because of your love for humanity.  As the entire universe celebrates this incredible person and leader today, it is clear that your wisdom and experience have been invaluable to the nation.

“Your sixty-one years of life have undoubtedly been filled with remarkable stories, achievements, and moments that have shaped you into the inspiring individual you are today.

“Dear boss, with you at the helm of affairs, you make me look forward to coming to work every day. This is because you have the heart and soul of a real rock star. I wish you a very happy birthday and many successful years ahead.”

Ukwa added: May this birthday reflect the joy and success you’ve brought into the world. I hope you take this time to bask in the company of loved ones and enjoy the well-deserved recognition of your accomplishment.

“Once again, thank you for your continued guidance and leadership. A cling of glass wine for another year of health, happiness, and prosperity. May this coming year be as extraordinary as the journey that has brought you to this wonderful seat as the Senate president.”
